Glass ball clock suspended
from a chain on an onyx and
gilt brass base. Circa 1890.

E.N. WELCH "PATTI #1"
SHELF CLOCK.
8 day time and strike
movement with 5 inch dial.
The strike is on a coiled
Anvil. The clock has a
typical Patti styled
pendulum bob. The paper dial
appears original to the
clock and has many
imperfections, staining etc.
The hands are replaced and
also have surface rust. The
case is in overall good
condition with a good glass,
good trimmings, and minor
imperfections especially on
the top rosewood veneer. The
inside back of the clock has
its original dark paper.

WEIGHT DRIVEN WALL CLOCK.
Clock has a signed dial,
signed movement. Dial is
original to the case. Throat
glass is original with minor
flaking and imperfections.
Lower round door glass is
also original, with minor
flaking and imperfections.
The weight is original to
the clock and is marked #2.
The hands and pulley are
original. Hands are open
diamond. The wood stick is
gilt painted and in good
condition. The pendulum bob
is damaskeened in nice
condition and has not been
buffed. Lower pendulum
keeper is in place. Clock
has a repair tag from
Fitchburg, Mass. dated May
18, 1908, Nov. 1913, and
Oct. 1917. Lower trimming
has been broken at one time
and has been repaired, but
overall it is in nice,
untouched original
condition. This clock along
with several others in this
auction hung in the same
house untouched for over 30
years. We have purposely
left the dirt and dust
intact on several of them to
document their originality.

FRENCH SILK THREAD
ANIMATED MARITIME SHIP
CLOCK.
The crest of the clock has
an animated wooden ship
sailing at sea beyond a dark
patinated rocky ledge with a
gilt castle in the distance.
The base sits on dolphin
feet lending to the maritime
theme. A seperate spring
driven movement powers the
ship. It has a silk thread
movement which is unsigned.
Silver dial w/ painted black
roman numerals and gilt
bronze bezel. 11"W x 17"H x
5.5"D.

A. HOWARD & CO. #4 WEIGHT
DRIVEN BANJO CLOCK.
The dial and movement are
signed A. Howard & Co.
Boston and is in the style
of a #5 movement. The weight
is signed #5 but is
different than the standard
#5 weights you would see in
an E. Howard banjo clock.
The throat and lower door
glass are good but have
minor imperfections and are
in the form of an early
Howard banjo clock. Black
pendulum stick, dull brass
pendulum bob. The case has
rosewood graining and is in
good condition. The bottom
has had a weight break
through it at one time. The
inside bottom has a jewelers
label William H. Gerdes.

calendar clock. Dial has

condition but also has a
number of minor
imperfections. Case is a
somewhat worn original

GOTHIC BRACKET CLOCK.
This clock is in the gothic
style, it has a powerful 3
train English fusee
movement. Chime silent lever
and an indicator lever to
speed up or slow down the
clock. Westminster chime or
chime on 8 bells indicator
on the dial. The silvered
dial is tarnished, the hands
are spade and poker and are
in good condition, original
to the clock. The clock
strikes on 8 bells, the hour
strikes on a cathedral
anvil. One fusee chain is
broken. 17"W x 30"H x 11"D.

ELMER O. STENNES TALL
CLOCK W/ ROCKING SHIP.
Elmer O. Stennes, Weymouth
Mass. grandfather clock in
heavily inlaid Roxbury style
case. Brass time and strike
weight driven movement with
a rocking ship. The case has
fan inlay, fluted quarter
columns, lower column panel
inlay, and has much string
inlay on lower base. The
bonnet has inlay in all
three plinths. The top of
the hood has a pierced fret.
The fluted columns on the
hood also have matching as
does the door. The clock has
brass finials and is being
sold exactly as we found it
in the collectors home with
all the dust that was found
on it, surely in an
untouched state. The clock
also has a sales slip dated
May 17, 1969. Missing brass
suspension rod connection.

EXTRA.
Seth Thomas #1 extra, weight
driven time and strike wall
regulator. It does have
maintaining power and is the
typical documented movement
that is seen in these
clocks. The lower door glass
is in very nice condition
with minor imperfections and
paint loss. Inside the lower
door is a massive Seth
Thomas label. The clock has
a gilt painted pendulum
stick with brass bob and
typical hands. The clock
case is refinished in good
condition. The bottom of the
clock has a small piece of
trim molding missing and at
one time the weight did
break through the bottom of
the clock. The clock has 2
weights that are not
matching. 19.5"W x 41"H x
5.5"D.

Waltham mahogany 8 day time,
strike and chime tubular
grandfather hall clock. The
dial is signed Waltham Clock
Company and has a silver
chapter ring, bold brass
arabic numerals, typical
blued fancy hands and a
silvered seconds bit. The
case has beveled glass on
the front door and side
panels. The clock is a 8
tube hall clock, the 8th
tube for a single hour
strike. The Waltham Clock
Company movement has 3
massive brass weights, a
steel pendulum stick with a
large brass pendulum bob,
rating and silvered rating
nut with indicator. 25"W x
76"H x 16"D.

CLOCK.
A triple Fusee brass time,
strike and chime clock
movement which strikes on
cathedral anvils and also on
8 bells. The clock has a
chime silent switch, a fast
slow adjustment indicator,
and a chime changing
indicator on the front of
the dial. The clock was
retailed by Bailey Banks and
Biddle, Philadelphia. It has
typical pierced hands, good
brass dial with silver
chapter ring and black roman
numerals. Decorative copper
dome and trimmings and has
pineapple finials, ornate
brass feet and large cast
handles This is an extremely
heavy large English bracket
clock. 15"W x 28"H x 11"D.

Howard Clock Co. label with
directions for putting up
the clock. Black painted
wood pendulum stick, lightly
damaskeened pendulum bob and
original tie down. The case
has original rosewood
graining and the bezel is
marked #19. 13.5"W x 31.5"H
x 4.5"D.

clock. 8 inch dial has many
imperfections, scratches and
some minor paint loss. The
signature is original and
has not been enhanced. The
clock has a good weight
marked #5. The brass
movement is marked #5 and
has a pinwheel cutout in the
front brass plate exposing
the escape wheel. The case
has a replaced wood block
under the movement. The
pendulum rod is silver
painted and the bob is
nickel. The bob is nicely
damaskeened and has not been
buffed. The case is in good
condition and all timmings
are intact. 12.5"W x 40.5"H
x 5"D.

ASTRONOMICAL FLOOR
REGULATOR.
This is a time only weight
driven floor standing
astronomical regulator. This
clock has a 14 inch white
painted dial with wood
bezel. This clock stands 7
feet 10 inches high, has a
solid massive brass movement
with jeweled pallets and a
graham dead beat escapement.
The movement is a model #3
movement. The case has been
refinished and has a chip to
the carving on the left rear
top of the crest. The dial
has been refinished. The
hands are typical and are in
the Howard style. The
pendulum has a four jar
mercury bob. The clock has a
Howard fancy brass pulley
with typical Howard brass
weight. The weight is
compounded once and runs
down the side of the case.
The clock has a silvered
regulator. Half of the
Geneva stop is missing. This
clock is from a private
collector and has never been
offered for sale. It is set
up and running. 31"W x 94"H
x 4"D.

weight is typical and marked
#70. The case is a light
colored chestnut in original
finish. The spade hands are

The putti has a nice dark
brown patina, standing on 2
books and holding a rooster
which is standing on top of
the clock pediment. The
whole is mounted on a rouge
marble base. The movement is
marked Jappy Freres and
Deniere Paris, has a painted
porcelain dial. Very good,
clean overall condition.

imperfections. The clock has

Westminster chime selection
subdial. The dial is signed
Tiffany & Co, the movement
is signed J.J.Elliot,
London. The clock has a
massive large brass three
train movement with striking
on 4 coiled anvils or 8
bells and the hour strike on
a single coiled anvil. The
clock has a large pendulum
stick, brass bob, and
typical brass weights. The
oak case is carved in the
style of Tiffanys furniture
pieces and has a hand
wrought central door
filigree. 25"W x 90"H x
15"D.

moon hands, nice lower
reverse painted green glass.
The clock has a wood stick
damaskeened brass pendulum
bob. Directions for setting
up the clock label on the
weight baffle which does
appear original. The case is
in good condition with
restored top scrolled
pediment mouldings and
replaced center finial. 20"W
x 37"H x 5"D.

which we could not view as
the hour hand was held fast
and could not be removed.

with good rating and rating
nut. The lower glass door is
original and clear. The
hands are open moon and
appear to be original to the
clock. The dial is also
original with no extra dial
or case holes but does have
a number of fly speck spots
or imperfections on the
dial. The dial is signed
Waltham Clock Company,
Waltham Mass. The oak case
is in a dark original
finish. 16"W x 32.5"H x 5"D.
